LED electronic display is an important part of the LED unit board. If there is a problem with the unit board, it will directly affect the overall quality of the led display! Therefore, how to distinguish the quality of the LED unit board is a concern of the LED display business. Here are some common methods for detecting the LED unit board.

First, the material

IC device

1.bserve whether the brand of the IC device used is consistent. What type of IC is used, and how many ICs are used, which are enough to affect the quality of the LED unit board. Some LED display manufacturers, in order to save costs, will deliberately reduce the number of ICs when producing cell boards, or mix other brands of ICs.

  1. Lamp beads and chips:

The naked eye can’t tell the difference between the lamp beads. It can only rely on long-term testing, which is the aging test that experts say. The general LED display manufacturer’s approach is: power on before leaving the factory, check whether the LED display can work properly, it will not go through long-term aging test. Because there is time and labor costs.

  1. LED unit board

Some LED cell board manufacturers use cheap flame-retardant paperboard or single-sided fiberboard as the PCB circuit board of LED lamps in order to compete at low prices. Because the full glass fiber PCB board is very expensive. At first, the difference is not seen. Under normal circumstances, it will break due to moisture, ultraviolet damage, oxidation, etc., resulting in the scrapping of the entire LED unit board. High-quality LED unit boards must use double-sided full-glass PCB boards, although the cost is high, but the quality is guaranteed.

 

Second, the quality of welding

Check whether the patch has components missing or mislabeled, and whether there is a short circuit between the component pins and burrs. Check whether the solder joints of the straight plug are smooth and round, whether the board surface is clean and tidy, and there is no solder joint welding. Check the flatness of the illuminated dot matrix and the consistency of the ink color.

 

Third, the power test

Power-on test (refer to the “Performance Test Report” steps):

  1. Whether the power-on test effectively protects the row drive tube CEM4953;
  2. The consistency of the luminous matrix of the power-on test;
  3. Power test signal transmission capability.
